Curo Resourcing was founded in 2006 by Karen Field and Mark Sewell, ex-directors of The Mandelbrot Set - the world renowned Microsoft technology company that authored Advanced Visual Basic books for Microsoft Press, developed TMS Tools and Code Complete and successfully undertook a wide range of Microsoft focused consultancy assignments and projects for both SMEs and blue chip clients, including Microsoft.
Karen Field
Karen Field has been involved in the IT industry for over 25 years. Karen started her career as a software engineer in real-time systems development. In 1987, she joined QA Training as Principal Consultant/Lecturer specialising in Microsoft Windows API development and Internet Technology. After successfully building the Microsoft Windows Division, she was appointed Consulting Practice Head within QA. Whilst at QA, Karen gained an MBA. In 1996, Karen joined The Mandelbrot Set as Business Development Director, later assuming the position of Managing Director until its acquisition by Charteris plc in 2001. Following the acquisition, Karen joined Charteris plc as Head of Operations, where she successfully built an effective and efficient operational model to support the business operations. Part of her remit also included the development and management of a first class business and technical consultant pool. She resigned from Charteris in 2006 to form Curo with Mark Sewell.
Mark Sewell
Mark Sewell is an experienced manager and director who has worked for high quality companies in the professional services sector for 25 years. Gaining a wealth of experience from such prestigious organisations as Price Waterhouse, ATOS Origin, IBM and Logica, Mark co-founded the Mandelbrot Set and oversaw its growth as it became a world famous Microsoft Technology business. After The Mandelbrot Set's acquisition by Charteris plc, Mark was appointed Resourcing Manager at Charteris. Mark was a director at Microsoft Gold Partner, ICS Solutions, founding and managing the DreamTeam between 2004 and 2006, until resigning to realise a dream in forming Curo.
Di Mabe
Di Mabe is a highly experienced IT Business Leader offering more than 25 years experience including board level IT Director roles, Start-Up Software business, development of new business and technology consultancy practices and more recently was responsible for the sales for Microsoft Services in the UK. Di’s IT career started in the project management of large banking & manufacturing solutions, moving into commercial IT management. In 1986 Di went on to become IT & HR Director for a global paper & board manufacturer Metsa-Serla. In 1996 Di was the founder of CORTEC Solutions and led the build and implementation of a supply chain solution to a number of customers across Europe. Joining Charteris plc in 2001, Di was responsible for building a consultancy practice focused on the Retail and Manufacturing markets. After achieving successful growth of projects based on Microsoft technology Di was approached by Microsoft to join them as Sales Director for Services in the UK which she carried out since 2006, gaining experience of the full spectrum of Microsoft technologies and the challenges of applying the right skilled resources to enable successful implementation. Di joined Curo in 2010 bringing the combination of her sales and delivery leadership to support our clients and technical community in achieving their full potential.
Treesje Verlinden
Treesje Verlinden has a 17 year record of achievement and demonstrable success working within IT sales and operations, including substantial experience within the Microsoft contracting and recruitment marketplace, gained through working with QA Training, The Mandelbrot Set, Charteris and ICS Solutions. She joined Curo in 2008. She is adept at driving growth company revenues while establishing proficient operational infrastructures and delivering contract technical resources into client projects on time and on budget. Treesje’s capability spans business start up, establishing and running on/offshore resourcing centers, building new business, maintaining customer loyalty, forging strong relationships with clients, partners and suppliers alike. Within Curo her role is to nurture existing client relationships, as well as delivering end-to-end resourcing services, business strategising and marketing formulation. Extremely positive, her affinity with people and different business and country cultures is a clear fit with Curo’s core values.
