They are seeking an IT Operations Manager to step in and lead/manage their IT functions at this critical time in their development. The location is in Reigate. NOTE: the office location is commutable within an hour from London Bridge. </p>
<p>If previous work experience has been gained working in organisations of size 100 &#8211; 300 people, this is the ideal background along with experience of managing Staging to Live environments; any release management experience and familiarity with 24/7/365 hosted environments (data centres). Experience with Prince II and SCRUM would be highly advantageous. </p>
<p>Key Role Requirements:<br />
- Security [Access to environments, security procedures, remote working]<br />
- System monitoring &#8211; this includes all services uptime, disk activity, load, logfiles, etc.<br />
- Hardware procurement and set up for all environments<br />
- Ownership of release process to Staging, Pre-Live, Live environments<br />
- Dealing with hosting issues and patch management<br />
- Manage and develop regular monitoring of Servers and systems to ensure levels of service are maintained<br />
- Ability to investigate and deploy new IT systems as requiredExperience in maintaining SQL and Web Server installations (preferably Microsoft SQL and .NET based web sites)<br />
- Experience with Active Directory based domains<br />
- Experience with Exchange Server<br />
- Experience with Networking<br />
- Experience Virtualisation<br />
- Experience Software Licensing</p>

- Take responsibility for all Release/Build Management activities, policy<br />
- Evaluate Release and Build management processes<br />
- Document, implement and improve the Release and Build management processes<br />
- Upgrade customers to new versions of Clients Application<br />
- Release application patches<br />
- Involvement in weekly Steering Group and Change Panels<br />
- Risk and Issue Management<br />
- Delivery of Release through Lifecycle Test Environments and Production Implementation<br />

<p>Must have proven commercial experience of working with MS SQL Server up to 2008R2 and T-SQL, also SSRS, SSAS and SSIS. Critical to the role is an ability to assess current and emerging SQL Server related technologies and their impact on strategy and a clear ability to recognise and respond to business issues and priorities. </p>
<p>Responsibilities include<br />
- Database maintenance, performance tuning/optimisation and archiving<br />
- Database scaling, capacity and availability planning<br />
- Enhancing database architecture, security<br />
- Designing and planning projects</p>
<p>Other must have skills/experience:<br />
- Performance tuning and query optimisation<br />
- Stored procedures<br />
- Data cleansing/archiving<br />
- Integration services; Reporting Services and Analysis Services<br />
- Ability to lead or take technical responsibility for data projects and enhancements<br />
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills</p>
<p>It would be highly desirable to have development experience in SQL, including ASP.NET and C#.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our Global Software Vendor is seeking 3rd Level Support Engineer with deep skills in Microsoft&#8217;s SCCM and SCOM 2007 and 2012. Your CV will show many projects where supporting one or the other or both of these two products is the core aspect of the role and your capability (not as part of a wider project or programme).</p>
<p>Initial 3 months duration however one part of the project (upgrade) is to run for over a year so there is potential for the role to be long running. Based in Belgium &#8211; English speaking, to start ASAP.</p>
<p>Brief details below:<br />
- Carry out 3rd line support on their customer SCOM 2007 and SCCM 2007 production systems<br />
- Work closely with our Client team designing/upgrading the customer to SCOM and SCCM 2012, supporting this upgrade into production<br />
- Requires very deep hands-on skills in SCOM (System Centre Operations Management) and/or very deep hands-on skills in SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager) [Microsoft level 300-400]<br />
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills/experience<br />
- <strong>Must have current NATO or SC Security Clearance or if SC only, must be prepared to go through the NATO Clearance process.</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Curo’s Karen, Di, Treesje, Mark T and Mark S got together with a bunch of Curo contractors in Reading last week for a night of ten pin bowling, beer and burgers.<br />
Congratulations to Mike Pini on his surprise victory in the first game. Nobody looked more surprised than Mike.<br />
And to Steve “Nuke” Playford whose powerful style paid off in the second game.<br />
Highlight of the night was Di’s “reverse action” shot which saw the bowling ball come back into the spectator’s area causing minor mayhem and a small tomato ketchup incident. Not that any stains would have been noticed, as Reading Bowl is somewhat overdue for a facelift we discovered on arrival!<br />
Many thanks to those who made it along. With all good intentions, it isn’t always easy to turn up for a night like this after a day of hard work.  A special mention to Martin Shannon who made a long drive from Getronics, mending a puncture on the way to Reading.<br />
We all enjoyed meeting everyone who came along, and look forward to the next social event.  Any requests or ideas for something perhaps late summer?</p>
